Designs for Tolkien characters have come a long way, in view of the new Amazon Series sparking controversy from the story to the cast, design and storytelling. This is a one-man project to showcase the lore of Tolkien’s world.

As Tolkien took inspiration from Viking Age literature for his lore, armour and weaponry of elves take inspiration from medieval material finds, incorperating Celtic culture from Wales, Ireland and Scotland, as well as different period armour from the 500s to 1300s, creating differences amongst the different elven clans intermixing and form distinct identities. Numenorean humans have a distinct mix of Egyptian and Greek culture.
